Switching Networks

Post by N2MRH »

Been having a problem I believe is related to Pi-Star but not sure. I have noticed others having the same problem.

When I switch to a different network, TGIF or Brandmeister, the network I switch to appears on my Pi_star Dashboard and my Hot Spot. However when I transmit my hot spot and Pi-Star show me transmitting but I am not actually connected to the network I switched to. To get connected I have to go back into configuration/DMR configuration and hit Apply Settings once again and then I am connected as expected. This started happening about a month ago on both of my hot spots. I did complete reinstalls of Pi-Star on both spots but the problem still exist. I know I am not the only one having this problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE: The problem is being caused by the HOT SPOT SECURITY being turned on in selfcare in BM. I had everything setup with Hot Spot Security and password set in both selfcare and my hot spot. Well I turned off Hot Spot Security in BM selfcare and now everything works as expected. I switch to BM and hit apply setting and I connect as expected. Don't know if the problem with Hot Spot Security is with Pi-Star or BM.
