Strange TX and RX Offset Behavior

Post by K1IRA »

Recently I had upgraded the firmware of my hotspot to MMDVM_HS:1.4.17. The standard TX and RX offsets for my hotspot according to the place I bought the unit from are -475tx -475rx. I had updated the firmware and had made sure that the offsets were still programmed in. Upon transmission testing into the BM Parrot tg, the transmission BER % was horrible and would cut out. I ended up putting the offsets to 0 and I was able to talk into the hotspot with a BER % of approx. 0.03.

I'm a little confused about it and i'm not sure what would have caused it and if there is an issue, I would like to know how to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thank you for the reply, The radio i'm using with it is the Anytone D878 and it works fine. I'm just scratching my head on how it's working fine with a -0 offset after the firmware update. I wish I could remember what the previous firmware version was. It made me suspicious that some setting that I haven't found yet was wrong. It still seems a little weird to me.
