Hello:
I have connected my Zumspot (PiZero-W) to an ethernet adapter. I am connecting to it and using it fine. I did have to connect it to the "Inner" MicroUSB port for it to be recognized. It has a dirrecent IP address based on the fact the Ethernet adapter has a dirrerent MAC address and I am using reserved IP's based on MAC Address.
Anyways, I was trying to view the connection status on the config page. I only see Wi-Fi config. It shows the Iterface up but I know from mt router and trying to ping the Wi-Fi IP, its down.
Questions:
1) How can I see the correct and current network connection in the Pi-Start interface? Am I looking in the wrong place?
2) Can the Eth0 interface be added?
3) It would be great if the current connection type and IP address was displayed on the small display but I suspect this would be difficult.
Thank you,
Ethernet - No Status Display
Re: Ethernet - No Status Display
Thank you.
My only outstanding question is the IP address on the display. Its idle now and bouncing the led's between DMR and D-Star but the display is blank. I'll take a look at the display options.
Right now I have OLED type 6 | Port 0 |Layout G4KLX
Maybe I'll change the layout.
FYI - My Zumspot is the Pi Zero W, small display. OLED I think.

Re: Ethernet - No Status Display
SOLVED - Thanks to KE7FNS.
I changed the display layout from G4KLX to ON7LDS L3 HS.
Now displays Eth0 - Ip Address..
Happy Camper. Still would be nice to have on the web interface.

Re: Ethernet - No Status Display
Thanks for the insight on oled and nextion. I will put the settings back and like you said, the idle screen is probably my issue.
Re: Ethernet - No Status Display
Try Angry IP or Advanced IP Scanner and you will see IP address and look for Pi Star Or Http://pi-star.local
That should see it.
