Receiving SMS Messages

Post by WB4SJN »

I am using the Anytone 868, a home made hotspot. I can send messages just fine but I can't receive them. My pi-star version is 4.1.2. Suggestions? Thanks.73.

Hello

Have you seen radio settings on Brandmeister.network (self-care) portal? I think it is needed to set up Chinese radio for Anytone models

Which DMR network are you trying to send SMS messages on? The solution would be different if you were on DMR+, Brandmeister, TGIF etc.

Sorry for waking up this old thread, but i have this problem as well, using DMR with Brandmeister and pi-star 4.2.3.

I can send sms through my pi-star, but i can't recieve. Recieving works well when I am connected to a repeater. When I send a sms it arrives to the recipient and i can in the dashboard see that i am sending "DMR DATA". I can also see that people try to send DMR DATA to me when i was last connected to BM via my pi-star, but nothing appears. It just keeps rolling on and on and nothing happens. But when on a repeater the radio just gives the message that a sms have appeared in my inbox.

Anyone got any ideas? My radio is set to M-SMS and on BM SelfCare it is set to Motorola. And as i previously said, it works fine recieving sms on a repeater. Just not on my pi-star.
