wifi section missing totally

hi all, i have 2nd hand pi B+ board which works well when its plugged into the LAN direct into the router.
problem is the section in the config screen for WIFI is missing totally

i have reflashed a new image onto 2 seperate cards and its still the same.
as the pic below there is no wifi setup or similar tabs

the platform says "Model B+ Rev 1.0 (512MB)" i have 4 usb ports on the PI so i will order a small USB dongle and see if that helps.

That is an evolution of the original Pi Model B, it doesn't have any on-board WiFi but it does have ethernet.

If you want WiFi you will need a USB WiFi adapter.
