Hi Andy,

APRS is not working for DMR.

If I use my radio on local repeater the GPS info is working just not via Hot Spots.

The APRS Database is not getting the updates.

5057 is the VK7 state talkgroup it is not a gateway for sending gps data. In its previous use 5057 was used as a private call for position data in the EU, but the practice now is to send to the local server that you connect with. So for example here in Australia gps data is sent to 50599 (country code plus 99) I believe that all brandmeister servers are configured this way.

The issue with 5057 that everytime gps data is incorrectly sent to 5057 as a group call (when it should have been private) keys up the repeaters configured with 5057 as a static talkgroup.

Brandmeister servers were automatically sending out text reminders that 5057 was no longer to be used and update to the new contact, however I believe that practice has ceased but you'll always get a few that were not active during the transition and resume to send on 5057 as a group call and causing unnecessary qrm.

OK I hear you guy I'm stepping off my soapbox!

Cheers
