portable comp+hotspot

Hi all
I am looking to build a pi4 portable computer for field ops. my question is can a mmdvm board be fitted to the pi4 and run as a hotspot at the same time as using the pi4 as computer for data modes (wsjt-x)? what about the fan once a dvm board is fitted over gpio pins? i have a hotspot that i use portable. but it seems counter productive if i have another pi available. thanks for any input.
