Good morning everyone
I need your help and your evaluation
we are using a DMR repeater with MMDVM and Pi-Star
we noticed that when there is no internet network the repeater does not work correctly even on TG 9 (Local)
Is this possible ?
How come this happens?
Where did we have to intervene in Pi-Star, to solve the problem?
thank you very much, Valter, IK1QEW

Re: internet network, DMR repeater, MMDVM, Pi-Star
Try using a vanillia install of mmdvmhost. Pistar isn't really the correct solution for your standalone setup.
Pistar has several checks to ensure criterias are maintained and as you've found, when they fail. services get shutdown.

Re: internet network, DMR repeater, MMDVM, Pi-Star
Thanks Andrew for your reply
Maybe I did not say it clear enough
the DMR repeater has this structure:
a) Orange PI One which manages the network and on which Pi-Star is installed
b) Orange PI One is connected via USB with an Arduino board which houses an MMDVM board connected to the two analog radios
have noticed that when the network fails, even TG 9, which manages the repeater locally, does not work
Could this be due to the controls that Pi-Star performs?
can we intervene to resolve?

Ok. If it has a network connection try switching off the pistar AP function.
But if it continues to loose its net connection the checks in pistar will halt mmdvmhost, which is basically ur repeater controller.

Re: internet network, DMR repeater, MMDVM, Pi-Star
should we put the Auto AP control in the OFF position?
thanks, Valter, IK1QEW
