FCS vs YSF de W5TXR

Post by W5TXR »

So, two questions......

Specifically, What is the difference between the Fusion FCS and YSF node?

I've been using the DV Mega Dual Band node on the RPi 3B+ for almost 9 years without a problem.
Using the Pi Star platform, its configured for the FCS 00334 Texas Nexus

And, I configured a SharkRF open spot4 for a friend and this FCS 00334 node was not an option.
Am I missing something or did I build the profile wrong?

Thanks
Mark

Similar protocol, fcs connects to a server network (of 4 reflectors) each with 99 rooms each room intended to connect to a claimed user base as opposed to ysf where your connecting to a single reflector (single server instance) designated to that 1 intended group.

As too ur 2nd question i have no idea what data openspot list in their host files. Maybe go to a group of theirs and ask them.
