I thought I would ask you all if you know anyone who is experiencing the following problem with their Pi-star and a FT-991A and if they managed to fix the problem.
As I use my 991A as my main transceiver for all things digital, I must use my hotspots in cross mode for anything other than YSF.
When in cross mode operation, example: YSF2DMR - callsigns of the people talking are not being displayed on my 991A. They do display on the hotspot dashboard. Does the Pi-star send the callsign data in its transmissions to my 991a when in cross mode operation? If so, why is it not showing up on my 991a?
So frustrating.
Any ideas?
Thanks,

Hmm, no responses on this issue. Let me ask this: Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
Thanks

Re: Cross-Mode & Callsigns / FT-991A
Actually my question is: Do you use your 991a to connect to Fusion Rooms? I have an 991a and would like to try out fusion...I have a couple of spare RPi Pistars...looking for factual setup instructions...just learned that the hotspot will not connect to WiresX, but will work with any number of the regular ROOMS? I can hear traffic on those ROOMS, but I cannot get the HotSpot to 'hear' my transmission (no receive indicator OR does not show up on the RF section of the Pistar)
Any help would he appreciated

Have a look at setting the hotspots rx offset. You can use the tool in the expert section or manually by adding an offset value say around 300 and add or subtract in small increments until you see ur keyups on the dashboard. Then continue adjustment to fine tune for lowest BER value. (Your aiming for the magical 0.0 BER)
