MMDVM INTERNET TX ISSUE

Post by n8tl »

MMDVM board issue...cannot transmit through MMDVM board to internet. Board worked for short period when hot spot purchased. I can receive voice from internet to TYT MD380 radio via MMDVM board  with no issue. Just cannot transmit to hot spot and have that communication go out on the internet. Any thoughts appreciated.

Hi Tom, have you checked your BER (Bit Error Rate)? If it's too high, that can cause the issue you're having.

Also, activate and look at the "Live Log" available from the "Admin" page of Pi-Star.

It may help you diagnose what is happening.

You can calculate the necessary "RXOffset" and "TXOffset" by observing the BER Error rate while using the "Pistar-MMDVMCAL" utility. Search on the utility name and you'll find instructions for using it to evaluate DMR receive BER, as well as testing different offset frequencies. Initiate it from the Configuration / Expert / SSH Access window with "sudo pistar-mmdvmcal".
