I am trying to link my MD380 to a DMR reflctor on Brandmeister through TG9.
TG9 is set as a private call in digi contacts but what slot and colour code to I set in the channel?
I am able to access a reflector and it is showing on the hotspot display as being linked to TG9 but there is no audio from MD380 on TG9.
Hotspot / MD380 work fine on Brandmeister TGs and DMR / FM repeaters.
I assume the problem is with CC / timeslot but am new to using hotspot on DMR.
Any suggestions will be gratefully received.... Many Thanks

Linking to Reflrctors via TG9
Re: Linking to Reflrctors via TG9
Hotspots use time slot 2 (boards using two radios tend to be considered repeaters and usually support both time slots).
You can use any color code, as long as the radio channel and the hotspot are set to the same code.
I can't really help with using reflectors -- the US Brandmeister servers have disabled reflector usage since all reflectors exist as distinct talk groups; one is expected to just program their radio for each talk group in which one has an interest. However, I believe talk group 9 is supposed to be a GROUP call mode, one makes a PRIVATE call (for the reflector #) on some specified group, then switches to TG9). Connecting a reflector is fairly easy. Tune your radio to TG9 {this is a GROUP}, in many code plugs this will be labeled “Ref” or “Reflector”. You will then issue a private call {using the group} to one of the reflector numbers. Reflectors are numbered 4001- 4999. If there are reflectors you plan to use frequently, you can add them to your contact list. Most radios will allow you to go into contacts and manual dial a contact.
There are also two special id’s on either side of the reflector range that must be sent as private calls:
4000 – Issuing a private call to 4000 will disconnect a reflector
5000 – Issuing a private call to 5000 will tell you which reflector is connector (or none)

Re: Linking to Reflrctors via TG9
Tg9 should be a group call not private call.
Call the reflector by keying its no as a private call.
Whilst they're running currently, looks like reflector linking is going to be dropped at the end of the yr. Best to learn how at some point to keyup a Tg and not via reflectors linking.
There's something coming which follows a similar approach, thats a little ways off yet but keying a Tg is so simple when you 'get it'

Many thanks for info.
As suggested, it's better to carry on using talkgroups what with the changes that Brandmiester are due to make.
Thankyou both for taking the time to respond to my question, it was very much appreciated.
