Hi,

I'm about to reformat the sd card and reload/flash a new latest pi-star and proceed with its config. Currently, Update is not working , there is a msg to say its running, but nothing appears other than "running". I've checked my account on https://www.radioid.net/account and it appears Brandmeister has the information but my hotspot a duplex DVBM type for its DMR config link to Brandmeister Self Care, no hotspot shows up for me to edit. I've double checked my codeplug for tx/rx or other issues but have run out of ideas. If anyone has a suggestion to try, I'd appreciate the tip. My wifif appears to be connected nothing else to check I can think of.

I think I'll try a reformat thanks for your tips there.

The hotspot is this one MMDVM DUPLEX hotspot Support P25 DMR YSF NXDN DMR SLOT 1+ SLOT 2 for Raspberry pi

I've again double checked BM Selfcare pwd and set it correctly in pi star.

I notice in live logging which doesn't appear to work but the download log works I get this msg

Nope I've connected to BM in the past and have the log of last successful connection about 50 days ago I've a pic of that from Brandmeister log.

There's a strange event when I try to login to the dashboard following repowering the modem, on Dashboard it goes Green for a few moments, then it goes red. Perhaps its got this firmware issue with the modem see log below.....anyhow, next I'll reformat and reload with latest pi-star distro and see what happens next after i configure dashboard again

In the logs an entry starting E: indicates an error.

Either the incorrect modem selection made .
The mmdvm board isnt seated firmly on the Pi's gpio
Or incorrect firmware loaded onto the board.

Any or all of which will produce this error.

As I mentioned Update wasn't working. I formatted the sd card using BalenaEtcher after downloading newest img file, flashed the sd card, added a wifi file using one of the tools on pi-star ...https://www.pistar.uk/downloads/# Pi-Star Tools Wifi Builder

So I'd an update nag and wasted a lot of time troubleshooting it not realising I was being "nudge to tell you when there is a new version to upgrade
to" I suggest if update doesn't load that somehow, somewhere, user is given the useful information, you need to format/load latest image...or some other solution to avoid a lot of time wasting figuring out what you should have done in the first place:-)

Good news is DMR is working I'm using FreeDMR_Ireland and its different setup to previous DMR setup. There's an options calculator I've not used but need to become more familiar with it. DMR and DMR Net are both green and TRX now showing "Listening" I've one TG setup and I call and dashboard reports the call which is good. For some reason my TYT 380 at the moment makes no sound when I key it, hope to figure that out later but things looking much better than earlier.

Takeaway from me, is if you find a couple of things not working, and solutions not working, reformat the ssd and load the latest pi-star image
