DMR_Hosts.txt Fields

If this question is answered in another thread I can't seem to find it. When adding custom entries to the DMR_Hosts.txt file, what exactly is the purpose of the "DMR-ID" column? In the actual DMR_Hosts lists I see various numbers including 0000.
